Description
Operations and maintenance teams need to rely on quality tools to help troubleshoot problems with PV arrays.
The Megger Thermal Camera (TC3231) provides a great method for identifying potential problems with the array itself, or inside any piece of electrical equipment where poor connections may cause poor performance or possibly the source of a fire. With its temperature range, it becomes an invaluable tool for discovering module hot spots, failed diodes in junction boxes, and poor electrical connections in inverters, combiner boxes, and panelboards.
This handheld camera is easy to operate and allows the technician to maintain a safe distance from the components in question.
This camera combines the convenience of an infrared thermometer with the visual advantage of a thermal imager providing a troubleshooting camera with an infrared heat map. It features a range of selectable thermal image color palette display options along with high/low user preset temperature alarms.
With the image blending function, the camera takes an aligned visible, non-infrared image, together with a full infrared image. The 2 pictures are then blended and can be adjusted between 0 and 100%. This makes identifying problems and pinpointing their location far easier.
