Hitting different torque specs with a regular drill is a lot of guesswork. Manual clutch tools are a big step up, and on-tool digital presets are even better, but sometimes you want full control over exactly how each fastener is driven. 

The USB Programmable Torque Limiting Drill uses Makita's assembly-grade brushless tools and PC software to let you program torque, speed, and multi-stage rundown sequences through a USB connection. Once configured, the tool automatically shuts off at a target torque and gives pass or fail feedback on each fastener. 

With "real-world" accuracy within about four percent of mean torque, this is the most precise option in our torque tool lineup. It is a great fit for solar crews who want repeatable results across big projects, detailed documentation, and fewer torque-related callbacks.
